Morrigans Zero

Postby morrigan » Tue Aug 14, 2012 6:14 am

Modelspace NZ has just added the Zero to its site , so the subscription process has been started :D
but hubby doesn't know yet :shhh: :shifty:
However I did tell him a few months back that as soon the Zero arrived here I would subscribe......and I've saved him the hassle of buying chrissie and birthday gifts for another couple of years ;)

Now to plot the mods, pass the fuse wire.......

That's excellent Morrigan, I for one, am greatly impressed to learn that you have decided to tackle this project as well.
I already eagerly await your master class updates for the BF109.
I've picked up a lot of tips from that build diary, especially with respect to the painting techniques, so I can't wait to see what you do with this one.

I'm looking forward to this one, so NDC NZ better not stuff my subscription up!
Supplies are starting to be laid in beginning with some Lifecolor Aotake, lots of it :D
My next stop will be here http://www.scalehardware.com/ as I'm planning to replace the supplied screws with more prototypical bolts and rivets, and they look good and fiddly.

hells teeth, Morrigan!

the very tiny screws are hard enough to play around with and you're propopsing to rivet the thing together???

those screws are the devils playmates! talk about fiddly ,one of them pinged off the work surface so I was scrabbling around on the carpet with magnifying glass and a magnet, got the little blighter, had thought of welding but it might be a bit over the top

here's a nice hint to avoid all the hours spent looking to tiny screws on the carpet:

magnetise the screwdriver!

lets hope that you don't have any metal plates or screws in your body

The effects would not be good to your building efforts, never mind the fact that after a couple of weeks getting attracted to your bench you would begin to sleep pointing magnetic north - I'm sure the hubby would just love that!

Hmm might have to put up a warning sign for vistors then, especially those with pace makers!!! "Caution attractive bench" may have to work on the wording a bit.... :laughing-rolling:
