I'm sure nobody will notice if you arrive in a Prius and leave in a 38 ton truck :laughing-rolling:

That's just the head offices. The factory looks somewhat smaller (or maybe just shorter :laughing-rolling: ) as the taxi drove past.

I'll post some photos of their museum later. The shop their is actually very small, but I found another couple of shops to make up for it. Could easily have emptied the credit card and filled several containers :D

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't making the most of the bragging points :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:
There is also the Shizuoka Hobby Square, which is next door to my hotel. Also a very good display, and a better shop to be honest. Shame I only had one suitcase !!

Photos to follow once they've uploaded from my phone :D

As an aside, this is little more than a weekend trip from Shanghai..... (Well, there's got to be some benefits to living in China !!)

People have been clamouring for more space in the overhead luggage bins for ages, but I don't think this will fit in one of those little cage things you see at check-in :laughing-rolling:

Here's a selection of pics from the museum, in no particular order. Sorry about the ropey pics, but they were all through glass, and using the camera on the phone.

Note the very early kits are made of wood..... definitely ones for the dedicated !! Mind, if you had one of those, it would probably be far better as a piece of history rather than a kit to be built !!

They had some Woody Joe kits on sale (I succumbed to one of the smaller ones !) and later I found a shop selling Woody Joe kits. Sadly it seemed that it was only open at weekends in Oct and I left Saturday morning :angry-banghead:

And in case anybody is wondering, I gather that the canned bread is real, but I didn't try any !! I can't imagine it being any good !!

Woody Joe are a series of kits of Japanese buildings made from wood. Mustang is building one in the Misc section. They also do wooden ship kits. The quality is superb, but the price reflects the quality !

There are some very impressive models there, well done on getting some great photos.

But I see you found some Woody Joe models , would love to get some more but customs adds so much. would like the second one you show. As I'm really enjoying the one I'm building. :)
