Hi Gundog, as always the lens doesn't see what the eye does. In natural light is a nice mild orange like the real thing, but this photo was taken under A fluesent bulb.

So time for the decals, these come in large area covers
Image

So you would think that this wouldn't take long, well it's going to take longer.

I apply the decal for the tails elevator as per the sheet and it was a nightmare, the decal is so thin that as soon as you move it it either rips or folds back on its self. The elevator only has four strips but it took me ages to get it to fit correctly :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead:

So I decided to do each stripe as a single decal :o

Thank you both for allowing me to re-enter this in the comp, I really wasn't sure if I was going to get this finished in time. But I've broken the back of this and hopefully I'm on the home straight so to speak, just got the final little piece to go which I hope to get done this Saturday

So hopefully by Sunday I'll be able to get the photos take and get them uploaded :handgestures-fingerscrossed:

Well done on an amazing build

What did you use for the yellow clips (you've got the ones connected to the blades and the ones on the side of the heli body) etc.. that hold the blades to the body of the heli?

Cheers Roy.

Very simple Roy, I just cut some brass sheet into very thin strips and bent the ends around the blades. I then used some solder to join some brass rod to the brass sheet which had a whole drilled in them.

You've done a really neat job on those little mods, those look very tiny and fiddly!
