andrew it's around 78 now in france, unfortunately I still don't have any connections to altaya france -
still hunting for a reliable source though especially as  bay fr and es (it's available in spain as well - why??) didn't throw up a single set for a long time now...

I've been watching eBay .fr and .es for about 3 weeks, and it appears that just part 1&2 have just turned up in France. Jesus! Howe this so difficult to get?! I found the 500 Abarth in Italy a lot easier!

yep, a bit of a pain, should post here as soon as - and if - I found a reliable source =
as I don't like the thought of getting stuck in the middle of a car and having to wait if and when they release it somewhere else...
(which would take some 6 months as they'd release it elsewhere only once it's finished in france)

I would have subscribed immediately but they don't send to abroad -
(shouldn't the EU do something about these issues?? there are no borders they say and they are busy issuing laws about what shape bananas and cucumbers should display),
if you have a friend over there try persuading him to buy the issues for you, I'm just in the process of doing the same, hopefully with a bit of luck -
I'm really fed up with watching  bay where they don't appear, or just once in a while - have made an offer for 20 issues, we agreed and the seller never again answered to claim his money... :?

HI BA, you have a very valid point there are about the EU, it is absolutely crazy that they don't release across the whole of the EU at the same time :)

All they have to do is charge additional postage to other Eu countries outside of france, i would have no problem with that!

7 issues to go on this one and still no solution to get the missing parts -
the only hope is they'll now start somewhere else so I can catch up -

big fat black clouds on the horizon - in the form of the upcoming DS partworks at 110 issues -
from what I've seen so far it's a similar parts layout with the extra 10 issues probably due to the more complex and bigger car -
that one should be our biggest 1:8 partworks car so far at 60 cm!!

such a shame they have no plans for this to reach the uk, really looks a nice kit. I had this reply the other day from Altaya :
"Thank you for contacting our costumer service,
Unfortunately the Citröen DS 21 is only available in France, however you could order this kit in some French friend adress to obtain the Kit."
Dont have any friends and family in France so that's out

How many parts are there with the complete DS kit BA.

110 parts casp so it's pretty exactly 2 years of collecting -
and with this if it's built up like the 2cv you can really start building from the first issue as it's a logical parts supply order,
(I see at least in the first 4 issues there are the identical parts with the hood, wheel assy etc etc...)

So more logical than the DB5 then BA ?

hehe, more logical paul,
if you mean it has something to do with logic to supply the car's chassis parts as numbers 81 + 82 of 85 than I suppose you could call the DS as the more logical build,
the chassis will come right after you've received the engine + tranny - just like with the 2cv where the chassis is #14 of 100 so you can attach the engine/suspension etc as you receive them...
you may have noted I'm being quite polite to gefab/em now

Sorry m8  i meant how many parts not magazine issues. I see the new pocher lambo has only 600 parts unlike some of the older kits that came with 1500 plus. Could the new pocher kit be similar in ways to the DB5 or the new Nissan, i would hope the quality is much better.

I guess it'd be a bit like the Pocher Testerossa, but with modern moulding technology. That was a lot more detailed than the DB5, and they didn't make such big compromises with the suspension :laughing-rolling:
Cheers

casp the first two issues contain 29 parts as far as I have counted correctly...
with 110 issues we could be talking about 550-600 parts although there might be issues with less pieces included - no numbers can be found on the homepage -
with the db5 they promised around 400 parts??
