baby_astons wrote:casp the first two issues contain 29 parts as far as I have counted correctly...
with 110 issues we could be talking about 550-600 parts although there might be issues with less pieces included - no numbers can be found on the homepage -
with the db5 they promised around 400 parts??

Thanks BA :)
i could not see reference to parts either on the DB5 site  .
looking at the Pocher lambo the finish looks impressive and far better quality as is what you would expect i suppose.

baby_astons wrote:hehe, more logical paul,
if you mean it has something to do with logic to supply the car's chassis parts as numbers 81 + 82 of 85 than I suppose you could call the DS as the more logical build,
the chassis will come right after you've received the engine + tranny - just like with the 2cv where the chassis is #14 of 100 so you can attach the engine/suspension etc as you receive them...
you may have noted I'm being quite polite to gefab/em now

Heck BA, you being quite correct has shocked me ....!!!!! :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling: :laughing-rolling:

Mark wrote:I guess it'd be a bit like the Pocher Testerossa, but with modern moulding technology. That was a lot more detailed than the DB5, and they didn't make such big compromises with the suspension :laughing-rolling:

What suspension .........????!!!!! :laughing-rolling:

a few new piccies:

#15 main pcb.....................................................................#16 main cable strand
Image Image
interesting to see - again - that you get what you need in the next step and don't need to store pieces for 15 months... ;)

#17 forward chassis part + screws......................................#18 suspension retainer pieces, part 1 + screwdriver
Image Image

#19 one more suspension arm ...........................................#20 3rd tyre
Image Image

#21 fitting wheel parts for 3rd tyre.......................................#22 second part of suspension retainer parts
Image Image

#23 4th suspension arm.....................................................#24 4th tyre
Image Image

enough to look at at the moment -
btw we are on #5 of the ds21 series, should probably get the parts from a friend, hopefully...
as the pieces look like it'll be a very similar layout to the 2cv, of course a few more parts involved on the larger car (and a few more parts per issue as well as far as I can see... :D )

just in case you've been wondering what was happening here, just trying to top up the parts count to 100 -
I'll see what I can get, the rest should be secured from the portugal site as they're making the car as well -
funny thought for me, i'd think the english spoken or german market would justify a translation of the magazine, instead they're going for a new language with literally no market...

main body frame arrived - a massive piece in a BIG bubble pack - should take a pic and post even if it's part #64 so not the standard parts delivery order...

it is tony, indeed -
the partworks is currently available in portugal, back issues can be bought in france as well - if you have contacts to either one you could build your car...
I'll go for the yellow charleston I had (once I got my hands on the missing issues as I love to have everything here before starting any earnest building...)

...one could build it quickly indeed, I intend to get the best result + repaint it in yellow so it may take longer than 3 weeks
