Hachette Fiat 500 Abarth

Postby Andrewyzfr6 » Sat Dec 31, 2011 8:15 pm

This is my build diary of a fiat 500 Abarth in 1:8 scale that I got from eBay Italy. It's 80 parts in a similar way to the 007 DB5 or the mclaren f1 car. ( great no painting! )
So far this afternoon I've built parts 1-12, and so far unlike the Aston Martin I seem to have used all of the parts.
Photos as soon as I've resized them!

The wooden box(handy for extra screws and small parts) is what you get the "Essance" parts in to upgade the real car from about 135bhp to 160bhp, from what i remember at the Abarth launch.

That looks like a very nice model. I doesn't look like it will take too long to assemble ?

yeah, looks like it wont take too long. and unlike the Aston there isnt much confusion with screws as so far there is only 2types! and the instruction books are excellent considering i cant read/speak italian! Take note GEFabbri!

I think there should be more 1/8 th model like this offered on iconic cars such as mini, golf mk1 etc

I'm up to part 51 now, got a good few photos to resize to put on here but I'm working tomorrow and off mountain biking on Sunday so I'll get it done when I get a chance!

Sorry for going quiet, been very busy with work, organising new windows and doors, and fettling with my daily runner. My 2007 Vw t5 van now has over 220bhp  excellent fun!
I have a fair few photos to upload when I resize them!
