I've managed to find an e-mail address for DE-Ag, so I've sent them the following (though there was more!!!!):

I’ve received issues 1 and 2 though the quality of the parts is absolutely appalling:

ISSUE 1
There is a mark on the bonnet, possibly something before it was sprayed
The chrome on the headlights isn’t covered evenly all over
The headlights are very loose to the chrome parts
    Not all screws received

ISSUE 2
The spray paint on the wheels is totally uneven, and not even covering the parts that will be seen
The chrome on the hub cap isn’t covered evenly all over
The tyre moulding also isn’t even

Hi Paul,

I have looked at my account and doesn't say that any money has been taken or due to be taken.

Hi Allan,

From Mark's comments on the other thread, it looks as though its just a test at the moment, so I don't think we will be charged.

In the past, companies have charged for parts, then withdrawn before doing national - so loads of refunds etc.

In this instance, it looks as though De-Ag have taken the sensible approach and not charged in the first instance and so save them all the admin costs on refunding the money.

I just hope that DeAgostini have taken on board all my comments about the very poor quality though, just in case they do go ahead with the 1/7th 1967 Austin Mini Cooper S Mk1.

Well at least the De-Ag customer care is a lot better than the EM one !

They've actually replied to my e-mail, and apparently FOC replacement issues 1 & 2 will be sent, though it is the usual "Please allow 14-28 days for delivery" - what is it with all these Partwork companies ?!

I really can't understand the above as I've even ordered things off the internet on a Sunday morning and had them delivered the next day on the Monday - and that's with normal postage and taking into account where I live!!!!!!!

Hi Paul,

Seems good to me then that we wont be charged, Just checked and it says that issues 1 & 2 have been sent, I will post a pic when they arrive.

If its not that good I think I may just cancel it go for the GTR :D

don't want to talk you out of that idea allan, but have a look in the "issues supply" thread on the nissan -
might be a good idea waiting and learning what the outcome will be before you jump in...

I received issues 3 and 4 today along with a generic letter that basically said:

"Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have been forced to suspend publication of the series until further notice"

The above is of no great surprise, and as I haven't paid for it and I'm sure no one else has either, I'm not going to complain.

Despite the above, over the weekend I will do a review of issues 3 and 4 and possibly some mods - I think this is going to be a very short build diary !!!! :laughing-rolling:

I'll also send an e-mail to De-Ag regarding the parts as supplied as there are definite quality issues .........

Before I do or say anything, I'll just post pics of the parts for issues 3 and 4 in their packaging.

unforeseen circumstances :laughing-rolling: how lovely :shifty:
I recall gefab have been telling us the same with issue #6 of the test shot for the 007 DB5 -
they just forgot that the #6 magazine supplied had the last page with no forecast to the next parts,
and it didn't look like there was nothing printed due to ink shortage as mr. connery sat there on the fender of the db5 and grinned into the camera...
so I was surprised seeing them being surprised as obviously the magazine (and the series) must have been planned like that...

btw. these parts do look much neater than the first two issues - and you got yourself a pair of full scale tweezers :D
