Excellent build, Morris.

Next time you use a metal finish try gloss white as your base!

I tried it a while back James. I can't get a true chrome look (polished stainless steel) out of anything but glossy black - White just looks like a very shiny white paint.....unless I'm doing something wrong....

You need AK's Xtreme metal stainless steel on a light or white background.

Let me fire up my kit and camera!

Zero paints silver base coat says to apply over a light base coat. However, I tried it on a half black, half white spoon, and there was only the very faintest difference. Just an aside, different paints will behave differently.

Another stunning build Morris  :text-bravo:
The AK's Xtreme metal range are really good and sit well on a black base coat, never tried it over white before James. The mig stainless steel is very good and is a dream through an airbrush and is less prone to rub off like Alclad. Mission models premium metallic acrylics are supposed to be excellent so it's on my Telford shopping list.
