and so much smaller than I thought it was Ian, thanks for the thumb scale :D

Hi Mark, measured it today as it stands on the stand

140mm long but this includes the exstra ends I added, so the original lenght would have been 120mm
155mm wide
165mm high

Enjoying this very much Ian. As an aside, have you built the DeAg Victory cross section. If not, I'm sure you'd enjoy it. It's one of the best cross section kits (if not the best) that I've seen.
Cheers

Hi Mark, thanks for looking in as to the DeAg version no I don't have that one, I have the Corel Verison of the cross section. I opened it and looked at the instructions some 20+ years ago and thought I needed more practise before I started it but I'll start in one day

So I've repaired my blunder.

And added internal sections

Then added the final layer.

While adding the outer bands to the hull.

Image

The centre clamp must have moved while the glue was setting as I ended up with a nice bow in the wooden strip. So I had to strip the plank off.
Image

And then remove some of the strips.
Image

Then glue new strips in.

So after repairing the mistake I made :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead:

The model has moved on a bit.

The instructions tell you to make two stairs as in the photos.

How any model person is meant to get up and down them with taking there heads of is a :laughing-rolling:

So after some thinking and look at other kits I have, I decided to do this it not 100% correct but look way better.

Image

The only issue is I don't think they would have had the stairs leaning against the granting.

And added the counter weights to the hull, again something not included with the kit.

Massive improvement over the original, your right about the angle of the steps, they are not far of vertical if I remember correctly.

Primered and painted the metal parts, the gun door where two parts I just glued them to a angle.

Also gave the Cannons a light wash to remove the bling.
