1/16 Tamiya RC Sherman - rebuild as 'Fury' tank-finished

Postby Morris » Sun Jun 24, 2018 4:12 pm

I've had this Tamiya Sherman in attic for years - (Built) - I've taken it down and want to try to convert it to the Fury Sherman from the movie - Ive taken it apart, ordered some upgrade stuff and restarting on the smaller gear whilst waiting on arrivals.....Had to scratch build a couple of items thus far..

The .30 Cal Browning isn't screen accurate, will try again - wasn't a good effort

Nice !! Any idea where you can get spares for it? I've got one, but one of the LED gun flashes has given up the ghost.
Cheers

Hi Mark;

There is a couple of outfits in Germany I deal with a lot - Not sure on the LED availability, but you might try them - The Tamiya Super Sherman kit now (or recently) being sold probably carried the same one.....

https://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/kat ... ary-models or https://www.rctank.de - In the UK, might try Tank Zone - - may kit on what you need between those 3 :D

Another interesting build Morris!

There was so much wrong with that movie though. Good to see original period armour being used such as the Shermans and the Tiger I

That’s me jealous! I’ve got no chance of getting to Bovington.

Looking good, shame about the track being put on the wrong way. I never notice it, but now you mention it, I now can't un-see it. It's something that I'll probably would do and it would annoy me too.
