Build the Iron Man Altaya France

Postby conqueror060 » Sat Oct 20, 2018 11:22 am

A very interesting partwork being tested on France from deagostini partner Altaya.

Build the Iron Man, a 60cm height and 8.5kg (!!!???) model with many working functions and lights.

It would be amazing to see it going live! Cool

Here is the picture I found:

Built: Ford Shelby Mustang, F1 Red Bull RB7, Bismarck, RC Spitfire, Millennium Falcon
Currently building: R2D2, USS Constitution, La Bretagne, Jaguar E-Type, McLaren MP4-4
Stashed: Hachette Mallard, Altaya Pacific 231, IJN Akagi

Yes I was astonished to find this. It looks like an almost full metal model, taking in consideration the weight!!!

In France, there is a fantastic blog with news exclusively for partworks. It has many more test releases mentioned here, some of them really unique! Here I found it:

http://mesnumeros1.eklablog.com/ and here is the page with the Iron Man reference http://mesnumeros1.eklablog.com/news-c20999048/3

Unfortunately, Iron Man partwork doesn't have website at the time, it is the usual procedure during Altaya test runs in France. Only full releases get their own website.

I also missed an opportunity to grab test issue 1 from ebay, someone outbid my final bid. :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead: :angry-banghead:

The good news is that, if it gets full release, it will be easy to grab issues from journaux.fr, which have worldwide shipment option in very good prices. Fingers crossed!!!

I haven’t heard anything about Iron Man test in UK, it would be great!

The U.K. test I know is terminator from hachette, a similar model.

I have a feeling this is now live in the UK. I came across the UK website last night and they are taking subscriptions. You guys should check out the newsagents and see if issue 1 is out.

This looks epic. I love the optional light up display stand, the stand itself is 50cm wide. I'd be up for this after the Terminator build
