It does.

Which leads to the question how many of us are doing the build and will it be modified.

Good question Chill.

you and I, and many others have built or are still building the Bismarck, many did modify the Bismarck to various degrees but in all honesty those who built it straight from the box, so to speak, still ended up with a stunning model.

If I feel confident enough I will probably do similar mods as I did to my bissy.

Of course, last time around we had Don and Markus to guide us through some of the more ccomplex mods.....this time we're going to have to do it alone!
Building;
HMS Hood
Tiger Tank
RMS Titanic

Well got my 1st issue now from HDG Joanne this morning (did I beat you Julian?!!)
Well lets have a look at the contents.

We get a magazine, poster, some leaflet insert bits, all seriously glued to a piece of cardboard!
On the back of the cardboard we get some pictures of whats to come in the build and the material make up of pieces to be supplied.

Now the all important dimensions :
L= 1314 mm
W= 145mm -150mm
H = 275mm.

Now is this bigger than the Bissie?!

Another juicy bit of information is that the Hood can be modified for R/C control as it has a picture of an RC controller - very similar if not the same as the Bissie supplied unit. Now the text says it (the magazine) will show you how with RC and electric motor. Looking at the model it has four props- its going to be a motor and a half!!

As Eric says many Bissies were made straight out of the box. So I think thats what I will more than likely do(but build the mods for the rc version into the model ready for as and when I choose to install them.
Lets hope the magazine doesnt have the same 'lets-use-bandages-and-glue' to reinforce the hull approach :shock:

And what will it take to get Markus on board again.

Oh yes Eric- are you changing your motto to 'IM BUILDING THE HOOD!!'
