Zero Fighter - MAJOR INFORMATION UPDATE

Postby snapdragon » Sun Sep 25, 2011 10:37 am

I though that this needed its own topic

I would have posted this a couple of days ago, but poor Mark was having enough troubles trying to beat a new server into actually doing something!

An email dropped into my box from Deag Italy. I had managed to sort out an email address from their site and sent them one, without much hopr of ever getting a reply - but a reply I got eventually!

I have slightly edited it as it contains some banking details, but read this for yourself:

Dear James

we inform you that you can order MITSUBISHI ZERO FIGHTER after the publication in Italy, paying in advance by cheque or bank transfer to current account (account, bank and IBAN number) This collection is composed by:
* 100 each one fascicle costs 10.99 Euro
and are now available 20 issues.

Please add to the total amount of the products a 25% surcharge for shipping and packaging.

We invite you to specify, when you pay, your dates and also product ordered.

Best regards,

Customer Service

It seems that Deag italy wants to play ball, which to me opens this partwork up to you all. The email address for those interested is

servizio.clienti@deagostini.it

Do you all think that the terms are fair regarding postage? Also the bank will adda charge for sending the money.

Thoughts and comments most welcome on this. ( i am doing maths to see if my income will allow this, as it looks like a stunning build.

James

I read it as 10.99 Euros an issue

THe delivery of 25% is down to the total numbers of issues ordered

so for 4 issues it would be 4x10.99 + 25% of that total price

Which makes it 13.74 Euros/issue inc postage. (or 13.7375 for James)

It equates to about £12 an issue at todays exchange rate.

Good question bufferz

Email them and ask - see what you get back.

I will agree that it is pricey.

10.99x 4 = 43.96
25% of 43.96 is...... you've guessed it - 10.99

This is 54.95 plus bank charge.

Translated in GBP through XE.com is 47.9724

Which makes it £11.99 an issue delivered.

It's only a couple of quid more than the Mclaren!!!!!

Isn 't that what I just said ?

I thought the McLaren was only £7.99. On second thoughts, lend us a couple of quid. I'll give you £2 back straight away.
