Hi Roller (sorry we/I always seem to shorten names  ),

I'm really glad that you've managed to sort it all out.

As other members will tell you, I've had numerous problems over the last couple of years taking photos.....

Firstly I tried using a camera on a phone - they were all out of focus & also lighting is also a problem - especially where I live.

I've just about managed to get them all sorted out, though still have the odd out of focus one !

the light source is a fluro with the garage door open since it's currently early spring it's quite nice. i tried using different res settings etc,etc on my camera which is a 12mp max, zoom after taken pic taken ,reduced the res down to 6mp to which has come out fine as you can see :laughing-rolling:

I think someone else has already mentioned that you might be too close, as you can always crop the photos, yet still get the detail (?) :)

i'd left out the gallery not realising it did'nt look right having lengths of planking protruding out further than the normal.so cut off one side trying to remedy it..once you do that when dealing with a wooden ship nothings going to look quite the same.and it was'nt.so some major surgery was in order.it should be alright.......i hope . :( :o  :x .

Bit hard to make out the planks you have cut off in the photos.

But heres hoping you can remedy both sides.

Does your camera have a Macro setting?

It seems to have trouble focusing on the close up, it is focusing on the far distant objects.

while the image is still on the screen of the camera before you take the pic you can yes it does but other than that.once the pic is downloaded,,, :) i shall need to work on the focus OR invest in another camera that allows for this function. :violin:
