Rhyl Air Show

Postby casper » Sat Aug 24, 2019 7:42 am

Off to Rhyl Air Show today with some friends and family :)
looks to be a good show this year, shame the Red Arrows can't attend but I'm looking forward to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster, Spitfire & Hurricane.
Its a stones throw from where I live and on the stunning welsh coastline and today is the perfect day for sitting on the beach :happy-sunny: followed by dinner in Llandudno :D
Hopefully I can get a couple of photos.

well what a fantastic day yesterday, weather was amazing but the airshow was very poor :( The location is perfect but the commentary was broken through using old tech :snooty:
As for the line up the only bit of interest was the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Spitfire, Hurricane and Lancaster bomber, awesome site and sound and well worth the wait.
Not much else happening apart from the odd jeep. The weather and location made up for it and a beautiful evening by the sea :)

Still some cool stuff though! Like the jeeps and the RAF flight gear - ejector seat (1950/60's ?) - and the BoB flight never gets to repetitive to see! :D

(Edit) just saw the flight suit tag, 1950s - :?

Some nice pics, but the lineup does seem a bit weak. Still the BoB flypast is always worth making the effort to see.
Cheers
