Would I be cheeky to say 12:30 at the IPMS Avon stand?

News update.

ZM have just emailed me.

The HS 129 will be at Telford so those who are there are going to be the first on the forum to be able to have a rummage through the kit.

I may also pick up another ZM kit too and I want some stuff from Eduard for the 1/24 Airfix Hellcat and whatever master models have for that kit too.

No news on the old man's attendance as yet, but no news is good news!

Train ticket acquired today at the grand price of £63.50.

So, travel sorted, Hs 129 reserved. Just need to organise travel from station to venue and jobs a good one!

Show update, Traders lost for this years show

https://ipmsuk.org/ipms-scale-modelworld/traders-at-scale-modelworld/

Here are the show plans for last year. I don't expect them to be much different so those going can plan on where to meet up and the vendors they want to visit and where they are.

Snapdragon, theres a free minibus running from the station to the venue on both days

Travelling to Scale ModelWorld by rail
There are regular services from Birmingham New Street, Wolverhampton and Shrewsbury
The International Centre is situated just over a mile from Telford Central Station and is only a few minutes’ drive by taxi
There is a FREE minibus service from the railway station:
Saturday from 08:00 to 18:30
Sunday from 09:00 to 17:30
Alternatively, there is a regular bus service from the railway station

Hope this helps with your travel plans.

It does! I know where it goes from now, so it has saved me £5 taxi!

Expect a Yorkshireman to arrive at the venue somewhere between 9:00am and 9:30am. You will know when I arrive by the confusion, chaos, Mayhem and fights that break out in the non-IPMS line along with parade ground yells of "STOP SHOVIN'" and "You pushed in! ****** ******* ****** ******** to the back of the line!" along with sarcastic comments.

Expect trouble if there is a Cyberman and a Dalek begging for money with buckets. Telford Local news in 2015 reported that a Dalek was blinded and a Cyberman had to be taken to hospital with a Dalek eyestalk embedded in an eye-watering place and it took 4 doctors, 8 nurses and 2 engineers to fix it!

I will have enough to carry without my camera bag in tow as well. Let me see what I can do as I know if I have to take anything down with me just before the show.

I usually have my hands full on the way back with purchases. No promises

Hi James :) thanks for that but treat it as the last priority I don't want it to spoil your visit.

Looks like quite a gang going this year.

My good (or bad) self
Number 1
Casper

Who else?

Ah! Maybe Steve if his wife will let him!

Maybe we should form our own IPMS group for the website and take a table to show off what we can do! Can only be good publicity, and a lot of Partworks have plastic in them!

John b said he's going on the saturday. A few years back myself, Mark our esteemed host, Fairey Swordfish and two others had a table of partworks models at the Yeovilton air museum, from what I can remember there wasn't much interest from the public :(

I have a Telford jar thats slowly filling up but Telford is more of an eye candy trip for me, can't wait to see the fantastic work on show I just hope you get the space and time to see it all and take a few pics. My son Shane is hoping to seeing sci-fi and fantasy builds and look at the gaming stuff, he's not into the games but loves the figures.
