Started doing a bit more on the layout. I got the quarry face formed. I made this with polyiso insulation of cuts which were then painted over with a wet mix of woodland scenic hydrocal.

Hi Big G. Couple of questions for you:

The wiring is really neat. It looks like you have some sort of press on connector for tapping your droppers into the bus. Is that right and if so, where did you get them?

How many sections will the RS8 modules control?

What controller are you using?

and a k for the work

Hi Gundog,

They are snap on connectors fro m express models http://www.expressmodels.co.uk/acatalog ... s_Kit.html . you can also get large quantities on ebay.
The RS8 modules give feedback / power to 8 sections of track. I am using a lenz LZV 100 for manual control and have been working on computer control with Railroad & Co traincontroler silver version 8. Have you got a layout or planning one?

I started one a while back, but made the mistakes of being too ambitious and not planning properly  So I downloaded the Anyrail layout design package and I've been slowly working on a new layout.

I have all the necessary kit to get going again and I was playing around with the idea of computer control. My local shop sells WinDigipet software and Lenz & Uhlenbrock control gear, but it's not cheap! I already have an Intellibox and a bunch of LS150s.

Hi BigG,

Please don't apologise as work and family life come first :)

Currently I'm doing a Pocher Lambo which is quite a nice kit, it's in between a partworks and an e.g. an Airfix one, so I'm having to learn a lot !

The Nissan GTR partworks has been very slow in coming with the parts for us all so that's a bit :angry-banghead: ! :)
