:superlglue: I am posting this because I have just acquired a new digital camera and the previous pics I posted missed a lot of the detail I included in the model. :angry-banghead:

:superlglue: So, I hope that these pics do more justice to a beautiful little model that took me many months of research and the fact that I saw one of these bikes being demonstrated at the old Calder Raceway in 1972 by Gamicl Aggostini when he bought his MV Augusta six and the Honda to Australia. :D :D :D

 The noise chilled my blood and that sound has never left my ears, and this is why I went crazy doing all the detail you will see here. :D

:superlglue: I hope you like it and I inspire some of you out there to have a Honda six in your collection, :D

Red Roo.
THE NOISE. Youtube has it too ! Note the "Triangular shape of the tyres. The Dunlop K-70 series was the tyre developed to give the rider as much rubber as possible to be on the track when cornering.

On all the Honda race bikes, tye wire was used to hold every nut and bolt in place, the bolt and nut heads were drilled with a hole big enough for the wire to pass through, and EVERYTHIG was secured this way. You might say, the bikes were literally tied together !! LOL I will also draw your attention to the drive chain..Every link is hand built/assembled from a kit that you buy seperatly from Tamiya.

Inside the fairing, you can see the oil cooler pipes that moved the hot oil to the two coolers mounted in the fairing.

Looking at the brake actuator levers, you will see more tie wires in place.

The exhaust system is also held in place by wire as well as the brake system levers.

The mechanics loved wire LOL, and I managed to get some wire on the rubber hoses that connected each carby to it's neighbour. The wire I used came from a small electric drive motor from an old CD player, super super thin, but to scale !!

A "busy little place" is the area behind the six cylinders !

The wheels were the kit that is extra from Tamiya in kit form, with metal rims, stainless steel spokes, all built with the aid of a jig that comes with the wheel kit.

It must have been a really noisy 'office' with six reverse cone megaphones a couple of feet to your rear, but a good point of view !

This is the little "Motor" from my old CD player that has wire so thin it is perfect for all kinds of things that needs it, be it rigging for a ship, ariels, ignition wiring, ANYTHING.

That's an outstanding model Roo. Love all the wires. You must have the patience of a saint :o

I have this kit in my stash (which I can't access at the moment) and am itching to get my hands on it again. Might just have to buy another copy of the kit

If you nose runs and your feet smell, you're upside down !
