My Man Cave collection - UPDATED

Postby Roymattblack » Tue Feb 02, 2016 6:21 pm

I thought a few here might be interested in my declining space.
I say declining, because more and more so these days, I enjoy building BIG 1/8 cars...
To me, 1/12 is now rather small.
I do still build the odd teenie, such as 1/24, 1/32 and even 1/43.

At present I've got goodness knows how many 1/8 scale beasties either finished, or on the go.
That doesn't count the other 5-6 in my stash.

Another dozen or so 1/12 + about 10-12 stashed...

You can probably see why I'm running out of space in my 'cave'...

I've added a few extra pics of more recent stuff, and some detail pics too

...and the E Type pictures ARE the model...

Roy.

that is something to admire roy - I exactly know what drama you're going through -
it's just that my 200+ finished 1:43 scale astons are all locked away waiting for brighter days of display!!

you're cheating though with the dbs as that is 1:10 scale (or is it the 1:12 RC? auto shack car?) :D

Many thanks you guys.

Yes, the black Aston DBS is a 'cheat' - It's 1/10.
It's an R/C car with a full interior that I completely dismantled and rebuilt with loads of detail, leather trim, carpets, fresh paint.

All the others I built myself over the past 4 years.
Yes, running out of room to display them all.
To be fair, the C Type and D Type Jaguar have been sold to a classic racing driver in London who I can't name.
The green Aston DBR1 on top of the Rolls Royce indoors - just finished - is also on its way to him next week.
That still leaves a LOT so find space for...

Roy.

Nice collection of cars!! they do look very good. Not often I see someone with an outdoor railway set up? I have a pond just wondering if I should have a couple of my period ships on display on it??? :shifty: Have a "K" for the very nice cars...
All the best, Steve..
