Ah, that's easy. You can add several IMG links in the same post. Just copy and pasted them individually, and submit the post when you're done.

Will try that, but when I switch from the forum to photobucket I keep loosing one of the open tabs. I am still leaning, good at some things, rubbish on other (Computer is one of them) Again thanks for the tip and I have to say that on this forum there is a very nice bunch of modellers, no rivet counters and know it all, never built anything modellers. Pleasure to be on here and being accepted as a member.

No it wouldn't. The Bismarck hull wasn't completely finished until very late in the series.
It the nature of the beast. Partwork builds follow odd sequences. It's not going to change.......

Whilst I'm certainly no expert in the field of marketing, but I think you'll find that there is a formula or approach to measuring the appeal of the first 10 or 15 issues released against the cost of the parts in those issues, and the remainder of the series would be rolled out partly on a cost basis, but keeping in mind that the subscribers can still progress the model.
The ultimate aim is to get people to subscribe for the entire series, because unless they do, the tooling and manufacturing costs won't be met, and the business plan would be based on people buying the whole series.
For example, in some models the chassis or floor may not get as many people interested, and its also likely to be one of the most expensive parts to produce, so they're not going to release it in issue one at a reduced starting price.

The Tiger tank was a good example..... first parts were the gun, and parts of the turret.
Not the cheapest parts to produce but clearly recognisable and interesting pieces that gave subscribers a good taste of what is to come.
Of course no modeller would ever build a tank turret first if they had the choice, they always build the hull first. But from a marketing approach, rolling out the hull, wheels and suspension pieces first would have been quite boring and shows no real incite into the standard or finish of the completed model.

The Lancaster was another one in which the build order made no sense, and the really expensive parts came in the last 10-20 issues. But I looked forward with anticipation to every issue because you were never quite sure what you were going to get.
Having said that, I haven't started building it yet, and most people who did start, have since put it on hold until they get all the parts.

Some of the Hood builders may be getting weary of the planking and brass work, so for them, the turret is a nice little taster of what the final detail level will be, and will reinvigorate their interest.
You're unhappy about not getting all the Hood's hull parts first, but you haven't once mentioned cancelling you're subscription, you're hooked, involved, motivated and eager.
Now If you had another model to build at the same time............

As Mark points out, this does seem to be the normal process that Hachette follow for their collections, and it must work for them, or they wouldn't keep doing it.

Deagostini use a slightly different ruse to keep people interested, which I'll call the "Add on Subscription".
HMS Victory builders will all be well aware of the X-section add on, which was released at the end of the main build. Very clever. If the X-section had been included in the original model, I doubt it wouldn't have gained as much interest, but I'll just bet they've had a lot of people sign up for it now that the main model is complete.

But that's just my opinion, and I personally reckon that the whole anticipation around the "what are we going to get next" question is a key part of the appeal of collecting partworks models.
But I seem to have developed a tendency to collect the entire series first and then build them later.
Perhaps I should seek counciling of some sort, this is probably a newly discovered medical condition :D :D

It would be nice if the let you know what you get in the next issue, like the did with the tiger tank and HMS Victory, My Victory is done and while I am waiting for the hood bits I am doing the midship section of victory, all the frames are up and the bottom is copperplated. I use some leftover sheets from the titanic, the where in brass with all the rivets on, used them and painted over with copperpaint. Looks great.
