Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Postby Mike B » Thu Dec 29, 2011 2:45 pm

Yesterday, I finished my card model of Chitty.
This is phase 1 of my next project. I will use the card model as a reference to craft a model in wood, plastic and metal which will go into a Demijohn, thus doing a variation on a ship in a bottle!

Nice bit of card modelling Mike :D The car-in-a-big-bottle should be very impressive.
Cheers

The overall length is 240mm and a perfect size for a demijohn without rescaling. I hope to use the paper patterns of the card model to cover the bottle model so that I do not have to paint it!

Hi Mike, that's a great one you got there mate. Just don't build it into a whiskey / brandy bottle as it won't go down nicely with the Don't-Drink-and-Drive campaign. :naughty:

Have a K for a brilliant idea.

I've split the chatter from this thread. It's now under a thread called Card Modelling in the Modelling Know How section.
